Capturing little pearls of wisdom with New Yorker-style comics
Throughout the time that Stephen and I have been doing this project, I have noted statements that Stephen has made to me which felt particularly interesting and insightful regarding how he was feeling in the moment. Drawing these pearls of wisdom as New Yorker-style comics added another level of poignancy to these honest confessions. Enjoy!
Thank you for sharing these. I wish I could have been an artist to capture such moments from my mom. I will say though, Stephen is in fact not only still funny, but he still has his sense of humor. Which was also the case with mom. And it's a gift. Perhaps it's a gift for those with May 5th birthdays (which mom and Stephen share).
Correction, Stephen, you ARE still funny!
